DESCRIPTION:At the Chapel for Europe weekly masses are celebrated on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 13:15. \nThe mass is celebrated according to the roman catholic liturgy including the Eucharist. Usually the celebration will be in French\, on occasions also in  English\, depending the attendees. \nThe Chapel opens its doors and welcomes you from Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00 for a silent prayer\, a moment of reflection or just some minutes of spiritual pause during the busy week days. Come as you are\, you are always welcome! \n

DESCRIPTION:The Chapel for Europe together with the European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA)\, invites you to the \nVernissage of the art exhibition “Burnt Landscapes”\, paintings by Claire Forgeot on Tuesday\, 1 October at 19:00 at the Chapel.\n \nThe Chapel for Europe is delighted to host the paintings by Claire Forgeot and to have her here to tell us more about them. This opportunity has been offered to us by the European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSia)\, which wanted to organize an event in Brussels to celebrate the end of the Creation Season\, combining the exhibition of the French painter\, whose work are inspired by the experience of burnt landscapes\, with a half-day conference the following morning on the theme of water. \nSince 2004\, after the shock of witnessing the burning of a mountain slope on a Greek island\, Claire Forgeot has been working on the traces of fire in the landscape. Initially\, her focus was on calcined black and its relationship to color. Then she experimented with the fire itself by scarifying paper. Later\, in search of a metaphorical herbarium\, she collected plants from gardens and trees found in the landscapes of France and Greece. When talking about her work\, the image of a path often comes to mind\, one of those stony\, narrow and steep paths that she often walked. The progress is slow and winding. Occasionally a ridge line or the passage of a pass offers a glimpse of what lies ahead. At the end\, a new landscape reveals itself\, a moment of wonder. \n
