Over the centuries, monasteries have helped to shape the face of Europe and its culture. Today the Monastic Family of Bethlehem, of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and of St Bruno is part of this tradition.

In the heart of Flemish Limburg, the monastery of Our Lady of Fiat is a witness to the Christian roots of Europe. Through their various handicrafts made in prayer, the monks and nuns try to transmit a spark of the Beauty of God:
– Statues and Nativities in dolomite
– Hand-painted earthenware
– Icons on fabric and glued icons
– Rosaries and crosses (wood and amber)
– Medals – Incense – Cards – CDs – Herbal teas

“The world we live in needs beauty so as not to sink into despair”
(Gaudium et Spes 26 – Vatican II)
