Talk in FRENCH.

On march 8th we celebrate the International Women’s Day, a tribute date to those women who speak out, and also to the ones behind the scene, who together work hard to make the world a better place.

Chapel for Europe, with the support of the Brussels Catholic Church, has arranged a serie of 5 evenings during the month of March 2023 around the theme: WOMEN OF FAITH: REALITIES AND DREAMS. Both men and women are invited to join these events.

The fifth event of this rich cycle:
PHOTO EXHIBITION AND CONVERSATION. BEGUINES INJURED MEMORY.

Guest speaker: Maria Cristina Inogés-Sanz, Spanish catholic laywoman, theologian (Protestant Theology of Madrid). Researcher in Church History. Author of “Beguines. Injured Memory”.

Throughout Europe, the Beguines were surely original mystics: they were seeking God through an incessant loving dialogue with Him. They remain inspiring figures for today’s spirituality.

The exhibition will show pictures of the most famous “béguinages” in Belgium, witness of their lives and sign for our times.

Event followed by a simple reception.

Opening times for the exhibition: Monday to Thursday – 12:00 to 14:00.
The exhibition
will run until Thursday 20th April at 14:00.

Free entrance – no registration required.
