Chapel for Europe

Chapel for Europe

Rue Van Maerlantstraat 22-24

Brussels, 1040

2024 Open Doors Day in the EU Institutions and also in the Chapel for Europe – Saturday, 4 Mai from 11:00 to 17:00.

The Chapel for Europe also opens its doors to all of those walking around the EU institutions on this day. Come visit us from 11:00 to 17:00. It’s a festive day, all Institutions will be open and we would love to see you drop in.

You will find us halfway between the European Commission and the EU Parliament, 22-24 rue van Maerlant, next to the European Commission Library.

The Chapel for Europe, with its ecumenical vocation, is a place for encounter, dialogue, prayer, and reflection at the heart of Brussels’ European quarter.
Our work and our program are inspired by the Gospel values, solidarity, and a search for the common good. In the Chapel for Europe, all can find their place to grow in soul, heart, and mind.

You are welcome to drop in for a moment of silence, a chance to pause for prayer or reflection, and, also for a cup of coffee/tea to find out more about what we do – prayer groups and celebrations, conferences, workshops, movie nights, expositions etc.

Looking forward to meet you!

Exhibition “The Cross That Unites Us”:

When visiting the Chapel, take some time to also visit our exhibition “The Cross That Unites Us”, which presents a variety of Christian crosses thanks to the collaboration of some Christian churches and Chapel’s partners in Belgium. Discover the crosses’ traditions, their history, and their stories, which are rich in spirituality. Enjoy a moment of reflection, learning, and sharing!
